At Taylor Lane Coffee, organic has been part of our story since the beginning. Long before organic certification was widely available—or widely understood—we believed coffee could be grown with care, intention, and respect for the environment.
Organic, Before It Was Common
When Taylor Lane was founded in 1993, organic coffee farms were rare. Certification pathways were limited, and many farmers were practicing organic methods without the ability to formally label their coffee as such.
Instead of taking the easy route, we chose the long one: partnering with farmers who shared our values and supporting them as they worked toward organic certification. Over time, those relationships grew—and so did our organic offerings.
Today, every coffee we offer is USDA Certified Organic and Fair Trade Certified. That wasn’t an overnight shift. It was decades in the making.
