Small Batch Organic Coffee
Keeping the sustainable spirit of Sonoma County alive in small-batch roasts packaged by hand
At Taylor Lane, we believe great coffee should do good, from bean to brew. That’s why we source from certified organic and fair trade farms, roast in small batches right here in Sonoma County, and package every order in recyclable, compostable fiber cans. Using our smokeless Loring Smart Roast, manufactured just down the road in Santa Rosa, we reduce waste and slash our carbon footprint. A better planet, a better community, a better coffee.
Use code SHIPFREE at checkout, no minimum required. The discount is applied automatically to standard shipping.
Yes! Orders over $50 always ship free, no code needed. It’s our way of thanking regulars.
No sales tax is charged on coffee, the price you see is what you pay.
We roast our coffee in small batches every few days. Our 2lb and 5lb bags are usually shipped within 2 days of roasting. Cans are roasted by the pallet, bestsellers like Goat Rock often ship within a week or two of roasting. Less frequent roasts may ship at around 3–4 weeks from roast date.
Yes! Every product is marked with a Julian date (used by food manufacturers) that tells you exactly when it was roasted.
Our fiber cans are made from 90% post-consumer material and are recyclable as a whole in most areas. The label, glue, and liner all burn off cleanly, and the steel ends are recovered magnetically during recycling. It’s lighter than a steel can and better for the planet.
Yes. Our coffees are specialty grade and mostly washed, which helps remove mold. Roasting also eliminates most remaining risk. We also randomly test batches as part of our food safety program.
Yes, roasts like Goat Rock, French Roast, and Organic Farmhouse Decaf are naturally lower in acidity. The longer roast time reduces certain organic acids. Many customers find our darker roasts easier on the stomach and better for those sensitive to acid.
Organic coffee is grown without synthetic pesticides or chemicals, which are commonly used in conventional coffee farming. In fact, coffee is one of the most chemically treated crops in the world. While organic isn’t 100% pesticide-free (natural treatments are allowed), it drastically reduces your exposure to harmful residues. Our beans are USDA Organic Certified and sourced with your health, and the planet, in mind.
Start with Goat Rock Roast. It’s our best-seller for a reason: smooth, bold, and never bitter. A great intro to the Taylor Lane experience.
Since 1993, when we began roasting in a barn in Occidental, California, we’ve been committed to sustainability and flavor. We started with just a few organic farm partners, and over the years, we’ve expanded our offerings as more producers joined the movement. Today, we continue to push for ethical sourcing, quality roasting, and better coffee for everyone.
